God gives each one of us a special makeup of gifts and talents to use for our daily living and our service for the Lord. I often speak to men who cannot clearly share their vision, goals, or plans to live out their purpose in life. I often sense that this is a confusing question for most men. I believe that most men struggle with this question because they do not know how to understand how to battle for their mind on a daily basis.
The Bible has many verses related to the mind. There are both encouragements to live out your life with a righteous mind and warnings about walking through life with a defiled mind. It is important for Christian men to understand that they can control their thoughts and imaginations with the help of the Lord to clearly see what God’s will is for their life. This clarity provides a proper understanding of how to keep winning the battle of the mind and also settling your mind on what thoughts you create each day.
Men fully understand what thoughts take up their life each day and fully know if they are in accordance with living a righteous life according to God’s Word or not. I discovered that when I gave over my thoughts and imaginations to God and asked the Holy Spirit to guide and protect me, my life vision and purpose became clear. We will always fail in having struggles with our thoughts, but when we understand that we can turn those over to God in our daily living, we win the battle of the mind.
