Do you have a vision for your Homeschool family? If so, it most likely includes spiritual, physical, and community focus. Joy and I made the choice to Homeschool once our first child was born. Our vision was to train our children according to Biblical principles. This did not mean at that time, to put them on a computer to learn academics, but it meant to pour our life into providing a home environment wrapped in truth and joyfulness.
Part of this vision was learning how to work properly. God designed work before the fall, and it was good. We should teach the same truth to our children. Our children should see Mom and Dad working diligently and industrially. Our children should also see the focus of Christ in our lives daily. We casted the vision for our children to love the Lord and his precepts, to work diligently as unto the Lord, and to be joyful in the work that God provided.
My question to most men is related to casting a vision for their family. Have you casted a vision that your wife has supported? Do you cast a vision for your children so they know the “why?” behind the decisions made? It is important to start casting a vision that your wife and children can support and embrace. Remember, your vision is not always going to be your children’s for their life but they will understand why you make the decisions that you do. We support helping Homeschool families working on projects as a way to cast a vision for properly working. If interested in learning more about casting a proper vision, please contact me!
